Holding format of WFNMB2022 (7th wave of Covid-19)
WFNMB2022 will be held in a hybrid format, onsite and online.
We do not plan to change the holding format due to the 7th wave of Covid-19.
The proportion of severely ill patients of COVID-19 in Japan is very small, and there are no plans to tighten behavioral restrictions according to the official announcement of the Japanese government.
Infection control will be implemented at the congress venue according to the government policy.
Speakers and participants can choose the participation format either in person onsite, or on online.
Online holding
The main programs of WFNMB2022 can be viewed live and on-demand.
Speakers can make remote presentations online.
Onsite holding
At the congress site, we aim to hold the congress safely by implementing the infection control measures according to the government policy.

In 2022 we will be offering delegates the flexibility to choose
between attending the congress venue which is Kyoto International Conference Center (ICCK) or joining the event virtually through our online events platform.
- Major sessions will be live streamed, and available on-demand.
- Poster presentations will be presented in a digital format as “ePosters” through the virtual meeting platform.
Details of online program delivery and how to participate will be announced when it is decided.
Join us in Kyoto
We will be offering a limited number of spaces at ICCK giving you the opportunity to attend the congress in person.
We will be following the latest government guidance to ensure the congress is a safe place for you and your colleagues.
